Southland baseball stopped by host Goodhue, 10-4

The Southland baseball team dropped another conference tilt Thursday, losing to host Goodhue by the score of 10-4.

"They started off with an unearned run on us in the first," said Southland head coach Larry Luke, "and they hit it pretty well in the sixth too."

Goodhue banged out 12 hits on the day as their offense picked up over the course of the game. Southland scored all four of its runs over the last two innings, but by then it was too late.

Zach Stratton took the loss for the Rebels for his four innings of work. He did have an RBI-single, as did Greg Retterath and Isaac Klaehn.

Southland drops to 1-3 overall and in Three Rivers Conference play. They travel to Caledonia next Monday.
