Steven and Norma Olson of Austin announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Olson, to Joshua Larson, son of Ken and Wendy Larson of Austin.

Karen holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and is a graphic designer in Blooming Prairie.

Joshua holds a bachelor of arts degree from Southwest State University and is an actor/musician in Minneapolis.

An Aug. 16 wedding is planned for 3:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Austin.

Gloria Heathman of Cedar Falls and Leland Aanonson of Rose Creek announce their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Mae Monsen of LeRoy and the late Joseph Monsen, and Glen Aanonson of Rose Creek and the late Irene Aanonson.

Gloria is administrator of the Cedar Falls Health Care Center. Leland is self employed.

The wedding is planned for 3:30 p.m. June 14 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls.

Kathy Larson and Dave and Pat Larson of Austin announce the engagement of their daughter, LaChelle Marie Larson, to Ryan James Seleski, son of Paul and Barb Seleski of Hastings.

LaChelle is a graduate of Austin High School and the University of St. Thomas. She is a senior sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Ryan is a graduate of Hastings High School, attended Concordia University and is employed as an account representative for Spherion Corporation in Edina.

The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. on July 26 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin. The reception will be held at the Austin Country Club.

Bridget Swank

John Halvorson

Bridget Sara Swank and John Ward Halvorson, both of Austin, announce their engagement.

Bridget is the daughter of Lisa and Jerry Swank of Austin and John is the son of Dixie and Ward Halvorson of Austin.

Bridget studied dance at Pointe Park College in Pittsburgh, Pa. and is the owner and instructor of Bridget's Dance Conservatory in Austin.

John attended Riverland Community College in Austin and works on the grounds crew at the Austin Country Club and also sanitation at QPP in Austin.

The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. on June 7 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. The reception will be held at the Austin Country Club.
