Accident victim taken to Rochester

LEROY -- The victim of a one-vehicle roll-over was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, following a mishap Monday.
According to a Mower County Sheriff's Office report, Early Freisner of Kansas City, Ks., was first transported from the scene by a LeRoy Ambulance Service crew until a Mayo One air transport unit interceded and took the victim to the Rochester hospital.
The mishap occurred at 5:12 a.m. Monday along Highway 56 at the Mower County Highway No. 6 intersection.
Fleisner was traveling in his van with two dogs and a bird, which were unharmed.
Raid conducted
DEXTER -- A man wanted by authorities for a probation violation is at large.
According to the Mower County Sheriff's Office, agents of the Southeast Minnesota Narcotics Task Force and the MSCO went to 30295 660th Ave. in Sargeant Township Friday afternoon to execute a search warrant.
A man living there had tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and opiates, during a random drug check by the Mower County Correctional Services.
The door to the home was ajar when agents rushed the place and no one was home, according to the MCSO report.
Inside the house and a trailer nearby, agents discovered weapons, including handguns, shotguns and an assault rifle, ammunition, crossbows, knives and drug paraphernalia.
The Mower County Attorney's office will review the report for possible probation violation charges.
The raid was conducted 2:45 p.m. Friday, according to the report.
