Leone G. Lagervall, 98
Leone Grace Kramer Lagervall, 98, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Northfield Care Center, Northfield.
She was born June 1, 1905, in Freeborn County, to Julius Aaron and May (Larsen) Kramer.
She graduated from Central High School in Minneapolis in 1923, where she lived with her uncle and aunt, Aaron and Emma Larsen.
She entered Carleton College in 1924, and graduated with honors in 1928. She taught school in Kenyon and Winnebago, Adams and Elkton. After her marriage to Arthur in 1935, the couple lived in Taopi. In 1937, they traveled to Europe, touring battlefields in France.
Leone was a charter member of Adams Minnesota American Legion Auxiliary and was secretary to First District American Legion Auxiliary, and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was an active member of the Minnesota State Horticulture Society, and a member of garden clubs in Adams and Northfield. She was also a member of Josiah Edson Chapter DAR in Northfield. She was interested in hand crafts, water color, oil painting, quilting and reading.
While living in Taopi, she was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church, in Adams. In Yuma, Ariz., she was a member of Seventh Avenue Lutheran Church. In 1985, she moved to the Northfield Manor Apartments. She joined and was an active member of the United Church of Christ (Congregational).
Survivors include nephew, James (Donna) Lewis, Hayfield; four great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1966; brothers, Clarence and Ken; and sister, Margaret.
Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at the First United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Northfield with Rev. Sandra Johnson officiating.
Internment: 1 p.m. July 29, 2003, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Taopi.

Gail M. Tapager, 71
Gail Marguerite Tapager, 71, died suddenly July 19 2003, at Austin Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Austin, to Joseph Harris and Marguerite (Boody) Igou. In 1947, she moved with her parents to Tucson, Ariz. Following the death of her father in 1949, she returned with her mother to Austin where she graduated from Austin High School in 1950.
On Aug. 30, 1962, she married Delbert Hoffman. They where later divorced. She married Tommy Tapager on May 3, 1975.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Tapager; sons, Kerry Hoffman, Tucson, Ariz; Todd Hoffman, Houston, Texas; three stepchildren, Pamela Hall, Austin; Larry Tapager, Elsworth, Wis.; John Tapager, Austin; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Wesley Igou, La Mesa, Calif.; sister, Maxine (Bernhard) Schwandt, Tucson, Ariz.; nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2003, at Christ Episcopal Church, 301 Third Ave. NW, Austin.
Earl J. Miller, 91
Earl Jacob Miller, 91, of Spring Valley, died Monday, July 21, 2003, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center, Grand Meadow.
He was born Sept. 11, 1911, to John and Laura Miller. He graduated from Spring Valley High School.
On Sept. 30, 1940, he married Harriet I. Howe at the Congregational Church. He worked for Reed-Murdock until 1960 and at the Spring Valley Light Plant until the mid 1980's.
He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandchildren, carpentry and working on the church.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet, Grand Meadow; daughters, Marilyn (James) Olson, Grand Meadow; Linda (Bradley) Banitt, Zumbrota; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
He preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Loren and Dick; and sister, Amy.
Visitation: 12 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2003, at the church.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Spring Valley with the Rev. Joe Haynes officiating.
Interment: Spring Valley Cemetery.

Angela J. Fink, 94
Angela J. Fink, age 94, of Waseca, died July 13, 2002.
A memorial graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery in Rose Creek, Minn. with Father Ruben Spinler officiating. After her death in July of 2002, Angela willed her body to the Mayo Foundation in Rochester for use in the advancement of medical science.
She is survived by one sister, Sr. Marie Fink, O.S.F. of Assisi Heights, Rochester, Minn.; three nieces; two nephews; and special friends, Homer and Betty McIntire of Waseca.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Walter and Edward Fink; four sisters, Katherine Schammel, Genevieve in infancy, Loretta Weber and Pauline Fink.
Irene S. Ellingson, 94
Irene S. Ellingson, age 94, of Copperfield and Robbinsdale, passed away.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; and three brothers.
Survivors include her son, Marvin (Barb); grandsons, Carl (Jayne), Stephen (Justine), Donald (Theresa) and James (Julie); four great-grandchildren, Douglas and Conner, and Amanda and Isaiah; sister, Esther Fardahl; many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church.
Interment was at Little Cedar Cemetery, Adams, Minn. Services were held Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour before the service at the Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Chapel.
