The Austin boys tennis team took sixth at the Big Nine Invite in Rochester Saturday.

The No. 2 doubles team of Tony Anderson and Bob Astrup finished third, No. 1 singles player Drew Halvin finished fourth, and both the No. 2 doubles team of Brad Weiss and David Weibelhaus and No. 2 singles player John Register won the consolation round.

“I definitely thought we should’ve finished in the top five, but we lost a couple of matches at No. 3 doubles that were very tight,” Austin head coach Thomas Tauchnitz said. “All in all it was a very fun day out there and the boys enjoyed themselves and that’s the name of the game.”
