The Packers boys golf team had three players among the meet leaders in a team win over Mayo and Faribault in Rochester Monday.
Austin took first with a score of 327, Mayo shot a 331 and Faribault had a 338.
Drew Osier, Nick Taber, and Drake Brehmer all shot an 81 for Austin.
“The conditions weren’t so great, but we found a way to win,” Austin head coach Will Pazurek said. “Our short game is still struggling, but we’ve got a busy week coming up.”
The meet medalists were Brock Case of Mayo and Ben Kline of Faribault, who each shot a 78.
The Packers will host a Mankato East Tuesday and will head to Owatonna Thursday for a triangular, before playing at Mayo Friday.
“We’ve got five conference matchups this week and expect us to go 5-0, which would put us at second or third in the conference,” Pazurek said. “The guys know they’ve got a good opportunity in front of them.”
