Letter: Frustrated at judicial system

Published 10:48 am Tuesday, June 10, 2008

I would like to publicly express my frustration at our county judicial system. We have a Lyle teen who was charged with several felonies within the last 3 years ranging from adulteration of brownies, where Mr. Orth served brownies laced with laxatives to students and staff at Lyle High school. While awaiting his day in court on that charge, he was charged again with underage consumption of alcohol, fleeing a police officer on a stolen ATV, and receiving stolen property. And again the courts gave Mr. Orth probation and a stayed prison sentence, and then Mr. Orth was awaiting a conclusion to the last fines and then he burglarizing 3 businesses in Lyle of which one of them was the Employer of Mr. Orth, How many more times do the citizens of Mower and Freeborn have to face the endearment of repeated felonies until this scenario is banished forever?
