The Austin Athletics stayed alive in the amateur baseball Division ‘C’ playoffs with a 3-0 win over Albert Lea in Owatonna Thursday night.

Kasey Krekling allowed just two hits in eight innings of work, before being relieved by Brian Voigt, who picked up a save in the ninth.

Voigt had two hits and an RBI, Elliot Herdina had two hits and scored twice, Winston Smith had two hits, an RBI and a run, and Brendan McCabe doubled.

Austin will take on the Owatonna Aces at Owatonna Sunday at noon for a seeding game.
