Letter: Don’t believe McCain is a ‘maverick’

John McCain would like to brainwash voters into believing that he is a “maverick.” One who votes his own mind and not always the party line.

It is now revealed that this is just another attempt by McCain to insult the intelligence of the American people because a study by the Arizona Republic found after examining McCain’s voting record that he is in no way a maverick.

The following was reported by Ronald J. Hansen, May 7, 2008, in the Arizona Republic: “Over the years Senator John McCain has publicly condemned Republican Party leaders and occasionally voted against the GOP on selected issues. But an Arizona Republic analysis of his Senate votes on the most divided issues in the past decade shows that McCain almost never twarted the party’s objectives.”

Again, voting for John McCain will be a “bad decision.”
