Mandie Mickelson, 18, a Luther College student, was crowned 2008 Miss Austin by the reigning Sara Larson Tuesday at Austin High School. Mickelson is the daughter of Todd and Maria Mickelson. First runner-up was Tasha Striker, 19, and second runner-up was Sigin Ojullu, 16. Stacy Weber, 20, was named Miss Congeniality and Mickelson was also named Academic Achiever.

Emily Rosenthal, 8, was named Junior Miss Austin. Other contestants included Sarah Willrodt, Mary Willrodt, Lani Hegna, Marnie Reese, Lauren Larkoski, Hannah Nelson and Sally Peterson.

Abbey Neve, 6, was crowned Little Miss Austin. Other contestants included Katie Willrodt, Alexandra Jovaag, Madyson Palumbo and Amy Peterson. Neve is the daughter of Jeff and Kathy Neve.
