Vandalism to four vehicles in the city’s southwest neighborhoods are likely related, according to Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp, who said unknown suspects may have damaged cars sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Philipp said four individuals reported a combination of slashed tires, smashed windshields and scratched paint Sunday morning. A van on the 800 block of Fourth Avenue was keyed, and vehicles on Eighth Street, 13th Street and 25th Street had cut tires. One also had a broken windshield, according to the chief.

Investigations continue.
