Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 Saturday the day of the festival.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at Holiday Park Golf Course or Grinder’s Deli, Apold Music, Tendermaid, Apollo Liquors, Games People Play, Star Liquor and Bell Liquor, all in Austin.

This is the third-annual salute to music that is … well … homegrown with Austin roots.

Local bands and artists who play for pay to entertain crowds everywhere.

Kicking off Saturday’s festival will be Rattle Snake Daddy and Sugar Plum featuring Ron Tabor and Val Johnson performing rock and soul music.

The Paths take the stage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Also known as Jim Waller and Friends, this band plays folk and rock music, plus Waller’s original tunes.

Barry Rush and Rush Hour take the stage at 5 p.m.

The talented musicians can literally play “everything” from 1950s rock music all the way up to the present.

Rush Hour features Bill and Chad Apold.

Taxi takes over at 6:30 p.m.

Jesse Smith has performed at every Homegrown Music Festival. His inimitable “bluesy” song styling make every rock and jazz an “event” on the stage.

When the sun begins to go down Saturday, Split Shot will raise the energy level beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Brothers Ray, Tony and Tim Bissen and Joey Kroc will liven things up with their rock and country music.

When the stars come out Saturday night, Plan B hits the stage at 10 p.m.

The headliners have legion of fans in southern Minnesota.

Band members include drummer Matt Gosha, guitarists Joel Runtsch, Scott Anderson and Ed Ehrhardt.

The band’s vocalist is Sena Ehrhardt.

Ed and Sena are father and daughter.

Proceeds from Saturday’s festival will go to support Veterans of Foreign Wars charities.

Plan B, now with two CDs to their credit, have frequently played the Austin VFW Hall to support the veterans organization’s community betterment efforts.

Holiday Park Golf Course is located at the intersection of Interstate 90 and Freeborn County CSAH No. 46 next to the KOA campgrounds west of Austin.
