The Austin boys soccer team fell to Century 2-1 in overtime in Rochester Thursday.
Century (7-4 overall) scored with about a minute left in the first overtime to end the match.
Austin (6-3-2 overall, 2-3-2 Big Nine) tied things up six minutes into the first half when Henry Darling scored on an assist from Dante Ortiz.
“The guys played real well,” Austin head coach Jens Levisen said. “Historically, the Rochester schools are strong. The guys feel good about playing with them, but it’s still a loss. There’s some give and take to it.”
The Packers had just two shots in the first half, but 13 overall attempts.
Century scored in the first half after rebounding off of a save by Austin keeper Ryan Rasell — who had seven stops.
“Ryan made a great save, but they got to the ball before he could recover and knocked it in,” Levisen said.
