On Saturday, Sept. 20, a benefit was held in the memory of Joe Shada, who recently passed away. What made this benefit extraordinary was the fact that it was put on by a group of people ranging in age from their early to mid twenties. I have never seen a more organized gathering put together in such a very short time. I am so proud of all of those who worked to make it such a success.

Joe Shada was a wonderful young man with a family and friends who are in utter shock and devastated by his loss. We all thank God for the short time that Joe touched all of us: by his humor, love and human concern.

Thank you to all of you for your hard work and effort for the benefit, candlelight vigil and the production of the Joe Shada memorial auto stickers. The raffle for the car to be given away will be going on until the end of October. All proceeds will go to the family of Joe Shada. We love you, Joe. You will be greatly missed.
