Grand Meadow overwhelms LeRoy/Ostrander football team

The Grand Meadow football team racked up over 300 yards of offense in a 41-0 win at LeRoy/Ostrander Wednesday night.

The Superlarks (5-3 overall) took a 21-point lead to halftime, and they scored 14 more in the third quarter.

“I wasn’t very happy with how we played in the first half, despite our lead,” GM head coach Gary Sloan said. “But we came out and played a good third quarter.”

Quentin Stejskal led GM with 102 yards and two TDs on 15 carries, Killian Smith ran for two scores, Michael Gehling had a rushing TD, and Caleb Leichtnam had a defensive TD for the Superlarks.

L/O (1-7 overall) passed for 167 yards, but had just 16 on the ground, while GM had 337 total yards.

Fourth-seeded Grand Meadow will host No. 5 seed Spring Grove in the first round of the Section 1 nine-man tournament and No. 7 seed LeRoy/Ostrander will play at No. 2 Mabel/Canton. Both games will be played Tuesday at 7 p.m.
