A 14-year-old Ellis Middle School student may face felony terroristic threats charges after allegedly saying he was going to “blow it up.”
According to Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp, the defendant was misbehaving during a class Wednesday morning, calling a teacher a “jackass.”
While being escorted to the school office, the student reportedly said, “I (expletive) hate this place. I’m going to blow it up.”
Philipp said the student’s parents and Correctional Services were called, and the student was put on a 36-hour hold at a Mower County facility.
The teen was transported to a group home in Hayward to await charges.
