Carol J. (Hanson) Hamilton, 46
Carol Jayne (Hanson) Hamilton, 46, of Lyle, died on Dec. 21, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester as the result of a car accident.
She was born Jan. 20, 1962 to Carleton and Gladys (Nimz) Hanson in Austin. She grew up in Lyle and after graduating from high school, attended Michael’s Beauty School in Albert Lea and went on to become a beautician. After living in Texas for a short time, she returned to Lyle. She was a beautician at Primrose Care Center and full of energy. A member of Faith Lutheran Church, rural London, she played the piano at Sunday services. Carol sang like a bird, had her own style of piano-playing and wrote songs which were filled with all her thoughts and feelings. She liked walking and running. Her children were the love of her life.
Survivors include her mother, Gladys Hanson, Lyle; three daughters, Natasha, Grand Rapids, Michaela, Hannah and a son, Levi, all at home; sister, Carla (Mark) Olson, Lyle; brothers, Mark (Cynthia) Hanson, Rochester, Ernie (Amy) Comeaux, Madison Lake, David (Susan) Hanson, Winona, Donald (Pamela) Hanson, Lyle, Jerry (Terri) Hanson of Adams, Gary (Peggy) Hanson, Toeterville, Iowa; sister-in-law, Jill Hanson, Apple Valley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carleton Hanson; brother, Stephen Hanson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Church, rural London with Pastor Kent Otterman and Pastor Einar Unseth officiating. Friends may greet the family from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lyle.
