Obama can head nation in right direction

Today is an important day in our country because a new president is being inaugurated in Washington D.C.
Any time we have a new president it brings a certain sense of excitement because that person is our new leader for our country, and we look forward to seeing what the next four or possibly eight years hold in store for us.
As Barack Obama becomes the 44th President of the United States, it’s a historic occasion not only because he is our first black president, but also because he is a dynamic speaker, a respected leader and was elected even when many people just a year ago thought he had no chance.
Now, President Obama has a tough road ahead. The economy is weak, and we are still involved in a war in Iraq. While the country is expecting a lot from Obama, we must remember there is no quick solution to the problems facing us right now, and it will take time.
But with a country behind him and hopefully the support from legislators both Republican and Democrat and by making good decisions, Obama can indeed head the nation in the right direction.
We hope he does.
