Arc Rose Sale begins Monday

The 14th annual Arc Mower County rose sale begins Monday.
Orders will be taken through March 25.
Pickup and delivery of roses will take place April 14.
Since 1953, Arc Mower County has been serving children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families.
Arc Mower County is a non-profit agency comprised of people dedicated to serving its clients.
The organization provides advocacy in the form of financial management, People First activities and information and referral.
It also offers family support services, including Sibshops for siblings and workshops and support groups.
The Our Place recreation center is another outreach for Arc Mower County.
Clients also compete in the annual Special Olympics events.
The organization provides transportation and camperships, too.
The rose sale also helps fund the organization’s advocacy efforts at the Minnesota Legislature, including seeking new services for clients and works cooperatively with regional, state and national organization on behalf of the developmentally and intellectually disabled.
Goals include providing long-term availability of services and working to increase awareness of client needs.
The rose sale includes one dozen long-stemmed red roses, $17; one dozen long-stemmed lollipop roses, $19; one dozen long-stemmed red roses with vase, $23; and one dozen long-stemmed lollipop roses with vase, $25.

The organization is presently undertaking a membership drive to reach the 400-member goal by Dec. 31.
Current membership is at the 300-family mark.
