Audrey J. Bass, 82
Audrey Jean Bass, 82, of Blooming Prairie, died at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield on March 25, 2009. 
She was born to Ralph  and Gelina (Ellsberry) Kelly on Nov. 5, 1926 in Boone, Iowa where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1944. She attended Chicago Interior of Design and received her degree in 1948. She married Ray Bass on Feb. 23, 1947 in Ridgeport, Iowa. They made their home in Des Moines, Iowa for 13 years before moving to Minnesota where they farmed near Blooming Prairie.
A member of First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Matrons, American Legion Auxiliary, Prairie Manor Auxiliary, Red Hat Club, card club and National Association of Tax Preparers, Audrey was self-employed as a tax preparer for many years. Ray passed away on Feb. 22, 2006.
Survivors include one son, Timothy (Sandy), Blooming Prairie; four grandchildren, Heidi (Brett) Zimmerman, Cannon Falls, Heather (Anthony) Schiller of Owatonna, Nicholas Bass of Blooming Prairie, Tyler Bass of Blooming Prairie; three great-grandchildren, Jeffry and Kendahl Zimmerman and Sophia Schiller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ray.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., April 4, 2009 at Prairie Lodge 123 at 127 Third Ave. S.E., Blooming Prairie. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will be at Blooming Prairie Cemetery. Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
