The Austin City Council recently voted all “nay” for a proposal by the city to put a sidewalk in along the 19th Avenue corridor, a safe walking path for children walking to Southgate school. They did however, vote yes for the same road to have vast improvements and be repaved. So I guess one could say the Austin City Council cares more about the comfort of cars than the safety of children. Where are your priorities?
