The open burning ban in Mower County has been lifted.

According to Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi, Saturday’s rain was enough to alleviate concerns about dry conditions.

However, the sheriff also indicated, the situation is dependent upon the level of moisture received to alleviate further concerns about open burning.
