The Mower County Humane Society’s chili supper and silent auction was a success thanks to all the people who attended the event at the Knights of Columbus Hall on March 28.

We would like to thank the KC Hall and their volunteers who prepared the excellent meal, Hy-Vee, Super Fresh and the Austin Riverside college who provided cookies and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for supplemental funding.

Thanks also to Perkins and Jerry’s Other Place for donating gift certificates for the silent auction.

We would also like to thank all the people who so generously donated items for the auction.  The money taken in from the silent auction will help pay our veterinary bills.

We are full at the shelter, both on the dog and the cat sides.  So if you are looking for a pet, remember to come to our shelter first.  All of our cats and dogs are vet checked, spayed or neutered and up-to-date on shots before they are adopted.  That is a real deal for any prospective pet owners.
