The Southland/Grand Meadow boys golf team fell to Caledonia/Spring Grove 162-199 in Adams Monday.

Matt Brietbarth led Southland with a 41, while Matt Walk had a 50, Tyler Bergene shot a 52, and Luke Simon had a 56.

“Caledonia has an excellent team and it showed today,” Tim Brennan said. “Matt played one of his better rounds and hung with them pretty well. He four-putted one green or he’s medalist so that was a good effort. Matt Walk is playing better also. He had one big hole to take him out of it, but he’s also improving.”

Kevin Ranzenberger and Kyle Runningen of C/S tied for medalist with a 39.
