Crane Community Chapel held its 7th Annual Awana Awards Night on May 6.
The evening started with a welcome by the commander, Paulette Lewis, and the opening flag ceremony. The flags were carried by the April Clubbers of the Month, Izzy Tufte and Ricky Hernandez. Introductions were given for the Cubbies Club and their director, Mary Grover and the Sparks Club and their director, Shanon Heimer. The opening prayer and devotional were given by Pastor Dale Christianson.
The Cubbies received their First and Second Book Awards. Sparks and Truth & Training clubbers received their awards for passing through their handbooks and passing the most sections. They also received certificates for good attendance.
The sixth-graders, now done with the Awana program, were then welcomed into the teen group by their leader, Shana Bates.
There was a PowerPoint presentation showing the highlights of the Awana year and a closing prayer was given by Christianson.
Refreshments were served following the announcement of summer activities.
