Two Austin men are in custody after an early-morning Monday assault left another man with injuries from a beer bottle blow to the head.

The incident occurred at victim Efren Dominguez-Cenobio’s home on the 500 block of 13th Avenue Southeast around 4 a.m. Police said the men were drinking and partying when a verbal altercation turned violent.

The 29-year-old Dominguez-Cenobio was taken to the Austin Medical Center with cuts on his face and later taken to Rochester. He is expected to be released Tuesday or Wednesday.

No charges have been made against the two in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
