Two soccer goals were reported stolen from Todd Park on Monday, Austin police said.
Valerie Pitzen-Koch, of Austin Parks and Recreation, reported the goals stolen, telling police that they would have been taken sometime between the winter and spring.
The goals are estimated at $6,026.
Pitzen-Koch told police she remembered talking to soccer players who wanted to take the nets to tournaments in Wells and Faribault, but advised them that the nets could not leave Todd Park. She told police the nets can be disassembled, but the pieces are heavy and difficult to move, so she thought that multiple people would be involved.
Wells and Faribault police have been notified the nets are missing.
