A rural LeRoy man was airlifted to a hospital Thursday after a branch struck him while up in the air cutting a tree.
Donald Dreyer, 57, was about 10 feet above ground in a lift near 710th Avenue and 150th Street when a branch kicked back into his head, according to a report. Dreyer was alert and conscious, but a helicopter arrived because of the potential for serious head injury. He was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
The hospital confirmed Friday morning Dreyer is in fair condition.
