Two Blue Devils named All-Americans

The Riverland baseball team had two of its players named to the All-American team recently.

Kyle Starkey, a sophomore outfielder from Rapid City, SD, was selected first-team All-American.

Starkey batted .471 with a slugging percentage of .610, while hitting 14 doubles, one triple, one homer, 43 RBIs, and 48 runs. Starkey struck out just 13 times and walked 27 times.

Brandon Huhn, a sophomore pitcher from Appleton West, Wis., was selected third-team All-American.

He went 5-2 with a 1.83 ERA for the Blue Devils. Huhn pitched 45 2/3 innings, allowing 34 hits and 15 walks, while striking out 55. Opponents hit just .198 against Huhn, who had 14 doubles, six home runs, and 37 RBIs while hitting .372 at the plate.
