A Grand Meadow man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing video games from the Austin video store at which he worked.
The manager of Hollywood Video near Highway 218 called police on suspicion that a 38-year-old employee had taken 52 games from the store.
The employee reportedly admitted to stealing 20 games, valued at $1,199, and $10 cash from the register in the roughly two months he’s worked at the store. He said he had taken the games and cash to help pay for bills.
When police attempted to arrest the man, he allegedly acted out a seizure.
He admitted that it was a reaction to being arrested, and was transported to jail rather than a hospital.
Formal charges have not been filed.
