The Austin Catholic Community, along with Catholic Charities and the Austin YMCA, will be hosting a couples’ 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. at Queen of Angels Church in Austin.

Couples of all ages and abilities are invited to run or walk the route together. Couples can also choose to walk a one-mile route or to take the short but scenic “Sweetheart Stroll” around the Queen of Angels grounds.

5K winners will be the three couples who finish closest to their predicted times. The “Still Sizzlin’” award will go to the couple who has been together the longest. All participants will receive matching T-shirts. A post-run/walk breakfast will be served by the Austin Knights of Columbus.

The cost will be $20 per couple for the 5K or one-mile events and $10 per couple for the Sweetheart Stroll through Sept. 1. After Sept. 1, the 5K and one-mile cost will be $25/couple.
