Delores Tvinnereim

S. Delores Tvinnereim, age 91, passed away Aug. 20, 2009 at the Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie.
S. Delores Tvinnereim was born on July 6, 1918 in Bristol, N.D. to Alden and Bertha (Bakken) Bratager. She graduated from the Bristol High School. Delores married Andrew Tvinnereim on June 8, 1941 in Bristol, N.D.
They lived in Holmquist, Burke and Webster S.D., Winger, Minn., Enderlin and Manvel, N.D. Delores worked as a bookkeeper and a housewife. She was active in church circles and was a member of the Homemaker’s Club. While in Manvel, she served as an election judge. Since moving to Austin in 1993, she had been a volunteer at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home and worked with the quilters at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Delores enjoyed her church and all of its activities. She also liked to cook, bake, entertain, play cards, work in her garden and mow the lawn, as well as sewing, quilting and visiting with friends and family. She was also a big Twins fan.
Delores had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manvel and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin.
Delores is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra (Charles) Folk, Austin; Leeila (Clarence) Bina, Bismarck, N.D.; brother and sister-in-law Frances and Grace Bratager, Kalispell, Mont.; sister-in-law, Ruby Bratager, Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew; a son, Gary; brother, LuVerne and Allyn; and a sister and brother-in-law, Julaine and Carl Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Glenn Monson officiating. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service on Wednesday morning. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 at the Amundson Funeral Home on 2945 South 42nd St., Grand Forks, N.D. with interment at the Memorial Park South Cemetery in Grand Forks. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service.
