The annual Doggy Dip will be held at the Austin Municipal Pool from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.

Bring your pooch to the pool for a swim. Dogs must have proof of current vaccinations and licenses. Doggy door prizes will be handed out.

Regular open swim will be held for the last time from 1 to 6:45 p.m. that day. The Doggy Dip is held each year after the last open swim, before the pool closes for the season.

The cost is $2 for one dog and two human companions; additional human companions will be charged $1. No pool tags will be accepted.

Human companions are expected to take full responsibility for their dogs. This includes proper disposal of doggy waste, controlling their dog and any inappropriate or aggressive behavior.
