A Twin Cities-based home health care provider has recently expanded into Austin.
Regency Home Health Care opened in town Aug. 3. The agency provides nurses and attendants for people requesting a variety of health services at home.
“It’s very exciting (to open in Austin),” office manager Michele Johnson said. “It’s gratifying to help people in that situation.”
The Austin office is located at the Courtyard Apartments, 310 Second Ave. N.E.
On staff currently are five people, though Johnson said the agency is looking to grow as it settles into its new locale.
Jean Johnson, Michele Johnson’s sister-in-law, and Kerry Schneider started Regency Home Health Care about six years ago in the metro area. The two are Austin residents and wanted to bring the service to their hometown.
“They’re bringing home health care back home to Austin,” Michele Johnson.
