An 18-year-old Austin woman pleaded guilty Thursday to felony forgery charges, while her sisters previously pleaded not guilty and her mother is wanted on a warrant.
Brenda Gabriel Reynua, 906 Fourth Ave. N.W., will be sentenced Feb. 26 in Mower County on one count of aggravated forgery. She could face deportation.
Brenda Reynua was at her sister Gloria Lizeth Reynua’s 308 Ninth St. S.W. home during a June 2 police search, according to a court complaint.
That search uncovered a number of fraudulent documents linked to family members, including Social Security cards, state ID cards and Quality Pork Processors work stubs that used aliases.
During the search, Gloria Reynua, 21, attempted to text message her sister Martha Reynua, 29, warning her in Spanish to get away. Martha Reynua was not at the Austin home — she has a Minneapolis address listed in court records.
Both Gloria and Martha Reynua have plead not guilty to felony forgery charges. Gloria Reynua is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing Oct. 9; Martha Reynua is scheduled for pre-trial Sept. 18.
Documents found in the house were also linked to Silvia Patricia Munoz-Rodriguez, 47, the mother of the three sisters, and her boyfriend, Cesar Hernandez-Islas, 28.
Both are wanted on Mower County warrants.
Brenda Reynua was originally charged as a 17-year-old juvenile in the case, but her birthdate has since changed in court records.
Assistant county attorney Jeremy Clinefelter said it was his understanding that Reynua insisted she was 18 during her juvenile hearing on July 6. Clinefelter said he did not know why the age was originally listed as 17.
