AK-47 stolen from southeast Austin home

A 20-year-old Austin man told police that a rifle of his was stolen from his home sometime Friday evening.
According to a police report, the man was gone from his residence on the 700 block of Ninth Avenue Southeast between 5:30 and 10 p.m.
He said the front door was left open because he had lost his key.
When he returned home, he found that a Norinco brand AK-47 was missing from a cabinet, along with rounds. A shotgun and a handgun were not taken from the cabinet, according to the report.
The man said he found four rounds belonging to the AK-47 outside of his window.
No suspects have been identified in the case.
