An Austin woman reportedly saw a burglary in-action Friday night, but the suspect fled when approached.

The 44-year-old woman said she saw a man attempting to pry away a window air conditioner at her neighbor’s home on the 400 block of 11th Street Northwest, according to a police report.

The woman went to ask the man what he was doing, but he set down the air conditioner and left through the backyard.

The woman said the man is about 6 feet tall with a medium build, and he was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

She said she didn’t see his face because his hood was up.

Police have not identified the suspect.
