An Austin woman is facing felony charges for drug possession and sales.

Jamie Lee Chris Schammel, 29, appeared in Mower County court Wednesday on one count of fifth-degree possession and one count of fifth-degree sales.

According to a court complaint, Austin police executed a search warrant at her Mapleview residence Monday.

Schammel was home and she was detained.

Authorities found 56 grams of marijuana in her bedroom, some of which was packaged in 2-gram bags.

A scale was also found, as well as a cell phone that contained text messages related to drug trafficking.

Schammel is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 17.
