Starting Saturday, Austin residents will have a place in town to bring leaves, grass and other fall yard waste.
The site will be at Cook Farm, about 1.5 miles north of Interstate Highway 90 on Highway 218.
Residents can dispose of yard waste at no cost, and the debris will be composted by the city and available for people who want it.
City engineer Jon Erichson said the site will be open dawn to dusk through the third weekend in November.
