A natural gas leak in Brownsdale Thursday caused no injuries and was fixed quickly, according to a sheriff’s report.

The leak occurred near 309 Oak St. at around 8 a.m. when a construction crew doing water-line work struck the gas line.

Workers temporarily crimped off the main and called the gas company, who was able to come in and repair the problem.

The leak caused about a 35-minute delay in construction.
