The United Way of Mower County’s Community Assessment household surveys began Aug. 10 and will continue through Sept. 11.
“We are very pleased with the progress we are making in gathering information for the Community Assessment” said Mandi Lighthizer-Schmidt, executive director. “So far we have 320 household surveys completed. The household survey is being conducted by Perspectives Consulting throughout Mower County. The purpose behind the survey is to find out from our community members what they have experienced in their own homes in the past 12 months.”
The household survey is a phone survey that takes approximately 10 minutes.
“We encourage everyone who receives a call from Perspectives Consulting to complete the survey,” Lighthizer-Schmidt said. “Your information is crucial to the entire project.”
Perspectives Consulting will continue household surveys until 500 total surveys have been completed. This information will then be compiled with other data collected and analyzed into a working document for the entire community.
The Community Assessment should be done by February 2010.
