About $2,500 worth of items, including a lawnmower and golf clubs, were reported stolen from an Austin residence’s porch and garage Tuesday.
The 38-year-old property owner said he was gone from the home on the 200 block of 13th Street Northeast from around 6 p.m. to 7:40 p.m., according to a police report.
He checked the garage a short while later and noticed the overhead door open. He said the door was closed when he left the house.
A number of other items were also reported stolen from the garage and porch, including a bike and yard equipment.
There was no sign of forced entry into the garage.
No suspects were named in the police report.
