The Southland volleyball team fell to Chatfield 25-19, 25-13, 25-19 in Adams Thursday.

“Chatfield is a strong team,” Southland head coach Angie Smith said. “They have great hitters who hit hard. We had a few holes in our block tonight. The girls played great defensively when the block was on.”

Brandi Schammel led Southland (9-11-1 overall) with five kills and two ace blocks, Katie Barthel had 12 set assists, 11 digs and an ace serve, Jenna Juenger had three kills, an ace block and an ace serve, Jana Schammel had four kills, an ace serve, and six digs, and Sarah Nelson had two ace blocks.

Jordyn Dudek had 25 assists for Chatfield and Emily Miller had 10 kills.
