The Lyle/Pacelli volleyball team fell to Mabel/Canton 25-12, 25-12, 25-15 in Mabel Tuesday night.

The Athletics (2-20-1 overall) played M/C (28-3 overall) much closer than they did in the team’s first meeting when L/P.

“We played better overall and I was happy with it,” L/P head coach Carl Ellis said. “We just need to be more consistent.”

L/P was led by Alexis Balgeman, who had nine kills and 13 digs, Ann Rysavy had eight assists, nine digs, and one ace, Emily Leif had nine assists and six digs, Autumn Weinmann had five kills, 12 digs, and one ace, Ashley Hinz had three kills and 10 digs, and Paige Smith had seven digs.
