A 48-year-old man was taken to detox Saturday after falling into the Mill Pond.

According to a police report, the man was found at around 1:20 p.m. by officers. He was sitting on shore soaking wet with bloodshot eyes.

The man’s blood-alcohol level was recorded as 0.22.

He said through an interpreter that he had been walking along the pond near the Main Street side when he stumbled and fell in.

The man suffered a few minor cuts but no serious injuries.
