A semi carrying 40,000 pounds of frozen baked goods rolled over in Lansing Tuesday but no one was injured.
The truck was hauling the Sara Lee products on County Road 2 just west of Highway 218 when a back wheel caught a drainage ditch, causing the semi to flip onto its side.
The driver, 46-year-old James Nielsen of Austin, was not hurt, but it took crews from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to lift the truck and clear the road.
A road marker on County 2 was damaged, and the semi trailer received substantial exterior damage.
However, the truck’s refrigerator unit appeared to be fine, and the food did not appear to be damaged.
