A fox found inside an empty building at a southwest Austin floral shop was shot and killed Thursday.

No one was injured by the animal.

The fox was found at Johnson Floral on 400 31st St. SW and reported to authorities at around 10 a.m., according to a police report.

A police officer and a community service officer attempted to catch or trap the animal, which was growling, but were unsuccessful.
