A 20-year-old Austin woman is likely to face criminal charges for allegedly smashing a teenager’s car with a baseball bat in the McDonald’s parking lot Tuesday.
According to a police report, the woman was mad at the 16-year-old male for nearly hitting her car in the Riverside Arena parking lot around 6 p.m.
A separate witness said the teenager also drove in front of the woman and slammed his brakes several times while on the road.
She followed him to the McDonald’s on Oakland Avenue. She then approached his car with a baseball bat, hitting the trunk and driver’s side windows with the teenager inside.
The report does not specify how much damage was done to the vehicle.
The woman is likely to face property damage and assault charges. The teenager was issued a citation for reckless driving Tuesday.
