Austin boys hockey team gets first win in over a year

The streak is finally over.
After going a year and a half without a win, the Packers boys hockey team beat Fairmont 7-4 on the road Thursday.
The Packers (1-1 overall) scored three times in the second and third periods to put it away.
“Our guys just never stopped working and it paid off for us,” Austin head coach Tim Peterson said. “This was fantastic for these guys to get the monkey off their backs. I’m so happy for them and it’s a step in the right direction.
Codie Miller and Devin McCune each scored two goals for the Packers, while freshman Marcus Stoulil, Dylan Hoium and Bobby Astrup all scored one goal for Austin.
Aaron Dooley had 24 saves in net for the Packers, who attempted 28 shots on goal as a team.
