An Austin man will serve a minimum of 35 months in prison for sexually abusing two girls in 2007 and 2008.

Terry Allen Spoors, 54, received a 53-month prison term — or more than four years — on Friday after pleading guilty in October to felony counts of second- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to Mower County court records.

He will be eligible for supervised release after the 35 months are up.

Judge Fred Wellmann gave Spoors credit for 81 days served in custody and ordered Spoors to not have any contact with the victims as well.

After prison, Spoors will be put on a 10-year conditional-release period.
